The accompanying letter by former Colt Custom Gun Shop superintendent Jim Alaimo states the revolver was embellished by famed Master Engraver Wayne D'Angelo, has 24K gold accents, "D" scrollwork and mirror bright Royal bluing, was prepared for engraving at the Colt Custom Gun Shop for Nutmeg Sports and has checkered grips fitted by Jim Alaimo (currently smooth composite). D'Angelo has signed his masterpiece on the left side of the grip frame. The superbly detailed scrollwork is accented with three flush gold bands (two on the cylinder and one on the barrel at the muzzle). The small parts are plated in 24k gold. The grips have gold Rampant Colt medallions and are stamped "Eagle Grips/Handcrafted in U.S.A." on the back.

Very fine as master embellished by Wayne D'Angelo. 99% plus of the blue and gold plated finishes remain showing limited handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. A wonderful, signed masterpiece for the serious Colt snake collector.
