Manufactured in 1980 and subsequently custom embellished by Clint Finley who has signed his work on the underside of the barrel. Fine engraved floral scrollwork on a matte background is featured on the sides of the frame, between the polished bright cylinder flutes and barrel at the breech. The scrollwork is accented with flush gold borders. Star burst and zig zag line patterns are engraved on the trigger guard. S&W monogram on the side plate and barrel markings are in flush gold, and additional gold flourishes appear on the barrel at the muzzle. With Olde West Gun & Loan, Inc. letter (photocopy) indicating the grips came from material obtained in 1974.

Extremely fine overall as embellished by Master Engraver Clint Finley. 99% plus of the blue finish remains, showing faint traces of a cylinder drag line and limited handling evidence. The grips have highly attractive color. Mechanically excellent.
