Manufactured in 1932 and subsequently masterfully embellished by master gunsmith and engraver Walther Kolouch. High visibility green light pipe style front and brass mid bead sights, 3 inch chamber, and full choke. The shotgun features wonderfully detailed engraving starting with 2 1/2 inch wedges on both sides of the muzzle with gold wire inlay, light scroll at the front and rear of the rib, and scroll and punch dot engraving on the block and chamber with broad leafy gold inlay. The receiver and added side plates feature highly detailed waterfowl scenes with four relief engraved bull pintails on the right, four Canadian geese on the left, two drake wood ducks on the underside, fine scroll borders, flourishes of gold inlaid scroll designs, and gold wire borders. The underside is marked "Ithaca/BY/KOLOUCH". Matching engraving and leafy gold inlay on the trigger guard, tangs, and grip cap. Nicely figured checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, gold initial oval, spring loaded Kick Eez recoil pad, and leather wrapped adjustable comb. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .736 inch; minimum wall thickness .032 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Includes three additional walnut comb inserts.
