Standard D grade engraving on the receiver with hunting dog and bird scenes of a setter on the right, pointer on the left, and four ducks on the underside. Dual triggers and automatic tang safety. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings, and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, hard rubber grip cap, and vented Hawkins recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .661/.663 inch; bore constriction .020(improved modified)/.017(cylinder); minimum wall thickness .034/.034 inch; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 7/8 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Fine. 95% blue finish remains on the barrels with some light muzzle wear and small nicks and scratches. The receiver has about 30% original muted case colors with well-defined engraving, smooth gray patina on the balance, and some light spotting. The refinished wood is also fine with crisp checkering, small dings, and added recoil pad. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some exterior scuffs.
