Manufactured towards the very end of Remington factory production. Dual bead sights on the matte concave rib, wedges of fine scroll engraving at the breech end of each barrel, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and modified/full chokes. The water barrel flats have standard Remington factory proofs as well as a "WXX3" stamp indicating the shotgun was returned to the factory for some type or repair or rework in August of 1951. The receiver features full coverage semi-relief engraving with game bird scenes on the sides of pheasants on the right and ducks on the left and a running rabbit on the underside. The scenes are highly detailed with textured punch-dot backgrounds, and flowing leafy scroll is on the balance. Single gold washed selective trigger and manual sliding tang safety. Finely checkered beavertail forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with fancy carved fleur-de-lis accents, checkered flats, blank gold inscription oval on the grip end, and engraved skeleton steel buttplate over a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech R-.665/L-.665 inch; bore constriction R-.017(modified)/L-.028(improved modified) minimum wall thickness R-.032/L-.032 inch; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches.

Very fine as custom engraved and refinished. 98% blue on the barrels with some light forearm marks and some small handling marks. The receiver has 95% dark case colors with sharp, detailed engraving. The wood is also very fine with rich color, crisp checkering, and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
