Manufactured in 1959. Wilkerson identified only 242 .38 Special Second Generation revolvers with 5 1/2 inch barrels and nickel finish in "The Post-War Colt Single-Action Revolver, 1955-1975." Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard and back strap. Comes with the original Colt black box featuring a "NICKEL FINISH" end label and marked "NI" for nickel plating on the bottom.

Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original nickel finish with a light cylinder drag line, minimal handling evidence and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with crude tape repairs on the edges.
