Plain concave rib with bead front sight, matted quarter rib with rear sight of two folding leaves graduated for “50” and “100” yards and each with platinum inlaid center line. Border engraved action with blued top lever and manual tang mounted safety. Border engraved back action side locks each signed “HOLLAND & HOLLAND”, and blued border engraved trigger guard. Figured 14 inch walnut stock with checkered grip and forearm, the underside of the butt with blank silver oval escutcheon, and serrated hard rubber butt. London black powder proof marks, 2 ½ inch chambers, choked bore. In fitted brass cornered oak and leather case, the lid with Holland & Holland trade label. The case contains some accessories including a brass Holland & Holland 12 bore “Paradox” bullet mold and other brass loading tools. Bore measurements: bore measurement 9 inches from the breech, .735/.734, minimum wall thickness, .030/.029, weight 7 lbs. 4 oz.

Barrels retaining 95% reblued finish, a patch of scattered pitting visible on the left barrel at the muzzle, with clear markings. Rifle chokes remain sharp. Action and locks with an overall grey patina and some slight discoloration with traces of original casehardened finish visible on the left lock and trigger plate. Wood is fine with some handling marks and scratches, crisp checkering and a small chip on the right edge of the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
