The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed on July 7th, 1936 for Palaupur (Tale Muhammad Khan Bahudur, Nawab of Palaupur). The blued chopper lump barrels have a smooth concave rib marked "375 MAGNUM RIM CARTRIDGE," "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" on the right, "98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON" on the left, engraved band at the breech, hooded ramp front sight with flip up moon, express leaf rear sight graduated from 175 to 500 yards and mounted on a raised matte quarter rib and ejectors. The barrel flat has London nitro proofs, "CORDITE 54-300 MAX" and 375 2.94"". The bolstered action with third fastener and removable firing pin discs features near full coverage engraved floral scrollwork. The lock plates are engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND," and the underside of the receiver is engraved "ROYAL/EJECTOR." The scrollwork extends to the break lever, trigger guard, grip cap and forearm hardware. The action has detachable side locks, gold inlaid cocking indicators, nitre blue double triggers with the front trigger articulated and automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" on an extended upper tang. The barrels, forearm hardware and lower tang are numbered to the gun. The highly figured forearm and pistol grip stock feature fine checkering, cheekpiece, grip cap with compartment, tear drop flats, blank gold initial oval and solid rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches, weight 8 lbs. 13 oz. The brass cornered oak and leather takedown case has a leather Holland & Holland label on the interior of the lid and contains an oil bottle, a pair of snap caps, a two-piece cleaning rod with four heads and canvas sling.

Excellent as professionally refurbished. The barrel retain 99% plus blue finish and the action retains 98% of the case colors. The lower tang shows very mild thinning. The wood is also excellent showing limited handling evidence and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine showing minor handling/storage wear on the exterior.
