Manufactured in 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States of America. Features a fixed blade front and elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights. The muzzle and breech ends of the barrels are engraved in tight flowing scroll patterns. The coin gray receiver features accents of American style scroll engraving and detailed animal scenes on the sides. An American bison is pictured on the right in a field, and an American bald eagle is on the left standing on a rocky outcrop. The right scene is signed "VANDERMESSING". Mounted on a nicely figured fancy checkered Schnabel tip forearm and straight grip stock with a lightly engraved blue steel crescent buttplate. With commemorative hardwood display case with matching numbered engraved knife, matching numbered commemorative medallion, and original box.

Near new in box with some light handling marks. Box is good with corner and edge wear and storage marks throughout. Case is good with small dings throughout, some heavier dents on the lid, and light oxidation on the fittings. Knife is excellent with light handling marks.
