This exquisitely engraved and gold inlaid Browning Superposed features dual bead sights on the matte vent rib with standard markings and Belgian proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and skeet chokes. The receiver is engraved with highly detailed game bird and dog scenes with an English setter and flushing pheasant on the right, English pointer and quail on the left, and a single morning dove on the underside. The birds and dogs are rendered in lustrous, fine, semi-relief gold inlay with fancy gold wire inlaid borders and fine flowing scroll on the balance. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved to match. The engraving is unsigned but certainly shows a master's level of skill. Extra fancy checkered semi-beavertail forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with vented Browning recoil pad. 20 gauge barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .619/.619 inch; minimum wall thickness .040/.040 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 1 5/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. The 28 and .410 barrel sets are also 26 1/2 inches with dual bead sights, independent forearms, matching serial numbers, and skeet chokes. The 28 gauge barrels have 2 3/4 inch chambers, and the .410 chambers are 2 1/2 inches. With Browning Naugahyde takedown case.

Excellent 99% original blue finish remains with only light handling marks and some small forearm marks on the barrels. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering, highly attractive figure, and some small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Extra barrel sets are also excellent with light handling marks and some small dings on the forearms. Case is very good with some exterior scuffs and light staining on the interior.
