The included U.S. Repeating Arms bill of sale dated January 12, 1983, confirms the serial number, model, grade, barrel configuration, stock measurements, recoil pad, extra barrel set, and all of the major specific features of this exceptionally well crafted Winchester shotgun. Single red bead sight on the raised vent rib marked "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER," 2 3/4 inch chambers, standard markings and "WP" proofs on the flats, automatic ejectors, 3 inch wedges of fine scroll engraving forward of the breech, and improved cylinder/modified chokes. The flat side receiver is fully engraved with fine flowing scroll patterns surrounding detailed hunting dog and bird scenes with a pointer on the right, setter on the left, and a pair of pheasants on the underside. The birds and dogs are rendered in lustrous gold inlay. The fences are engraved with a deeply chiseled, relief oak leaf motif. The trigger guard is engraved with a matching scroll and a gold inlaid bust of a retriever dog with matching scroll on the tangs and lever. Highly figured beavertail forearm with ornate 21-B fleur-de-lis checkering, engraved fittings, and straight grip stock with blank gold initial oval and third style leather wrapped recoil pad. 20 gauge barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .612/.613 inch; minimum wall thickness .039/.039 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 15 1/4 inches. With Winchester leather bound takedown case with canvas cover, containing the 28 gauge barrel set. 28 gauge barrel set measurements are: 2 3/4 inch chambers; improved cylinder/modified chokes; bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .554/.553 inch; minimum wall thickness .029/.029 inch. Each barrel set is numbered to the gun with individual forearms numbered to match.

Excellent overall. 99% original blue finish remains with just a few small forearm marks on the barrels and very light handling marks overall. The wood is also excellent with highly attractive color and figure, sharp checkering, and a few very small dings. Mechanically excellent. Extra barrel set and forearm are excellent with light handling marks. Case is excellent.
