Manufactured in 1908. Single bead sight on a matted sighting plane, Winchester factory oval proofs and full choke. The top of the receiver is matted and engraved with scrolls, rose blossoms and four-leaf clovers. The sides of the receiver feature detailed engraved panel scenes which depict a live pigeon shooting match on the left side and game bird hunting scene on the right side. A pigeon is engraved behind the hammer. Additional engraved flourishes are found on the underside and rear sides of the receiver, around the hammer and trigger guard. The engraved bolt is correctly inscribed "PIGEON GUN." The fancy figured and checkered forearm and straight grip stock feature ebony diamond inlays on each side of the wrist and checkered Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: drop at comb 1 3/8 inches, drop at heel 2 1/4 inches, length of pull 13 3/8 inches.

Very good plus, retaining 25% original blue finish with the balance a mottled gray gun metal patina. The engraving is crisp. The stock is good with a chip missing from the left diamond inlay, heavily worn checkering and a number of minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
