The included Winchester Custom Shop Letter confirms the serial number, caliber, and major features of the rifle. Manufactured without sights and with match grade fluted barrel with standard markings on the left side, "CUSTOM CLASSIC" on the right, wedges of light engraving at the breech, factory 70-5 engraving pattern on the receiver with gold inlaid serial number marking, standard Winchester "WP" and custom shop "C/CS" proofs, and engraved floor plate with a highly detailed gold inlaid deer head. The bolt body, follower, and extractor have been brilliantly jeweled. The stock is a single piece of fancy American walnut with coarse cut multi-point checkering at the forearm and grip, single recoil bolt, inset sling swivel studs, blue steel grip cap and solid rubber Winchester recoil pad.

Excellent overall. 99% plus original blue finish remains with sharp markings, fine engraving, light handling marks, and sharp checkering on the nicely figured stock. Mechanically excellent.
