Manufactured in 1948 during the transition period (late 1945-1951). Medium-heavyweight barrel with Lyman globe front and receiver mounted Lyman adjustable rear peep sights, standard barrel markings with double struck Winchester "WP" proofs (factory error) on the barrel and receiver at the breech, factory drilled and tapped receiver with filler screws, polished bolt numbered to gun with solid handle knob, and first style Type II safety. Smooth heavy target stock with adjustable palm stop and flat checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. 97% plus original blue finish remains with some light edge wear and surface scratches and handling marks mostly on the bolt handle. Stock is also excellent with some dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
