Manufactured in 1938. Winchester factory oval proofs, hooded ramp front, elevation adjustable rear and Lyman receiver (stock inlet) sights, pre-war safety, cloverleaf receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to gun, leather sling, checkered straight comb pistol grip stock and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with the balance thinning to a brown. The refinished stock is very good with a moderate divot on the buttstock underside and grip edge wear, otherwise some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
