Description:

This revolver is one of less than 1,200 made by Texas Longhorn Arms. This one appears to be a special addition; of which, the consignor notes, only three were made, making this revolver even more rare. Bill Grover initially founded Texas Longhorn Arms with the goal of replicating and perfecting the famous Elmer Keith's personalized #5SAA. This revolver shows many of Keith's desired features, as well as "right handed" loading gate and ejector, and bird's head grips. The idea of the "right handed" loading layout came from Grover, who claimed that Samuel Colt must have been left handed. If this revolver wasn't already unique and rare enough, it has also been engraved by the late master engraver Terry Wallace, who signed his work on the left side of the frame. The back strap is marked "BIG AL DIPRIMA" lending even more character to this rare revolver that is Texas through and through.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, with only the slightest handling marks and a cylinder drag line. There are a few light dings in the butt of the left grip panel and a surface chip near the back strap of the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
