The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with a 24 inch round barrel in .32 caliber when shipped on August 7, 1896. German silver blade and elevation adjustable sights on a barrel marked with the two-line address/patent dates (1887 and 1889) and "32-W." The upper tang is marked "MODEL/1894," and the top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY." Blued barrel, magazine tube and forend cap, casehardened receiver, lever, hammer and buttplate, and mounted on a smooth straight grip stock.

Very fine. 85% plus thinned original blue finish remains and 80% plus vivid original case colors remain. The wood is also very fine showing minor handling evidence and retaining most of the original finish. Mechanically excellent. An attractive Model 1894 would make a great addition to your growing antique lever action rifle collection.
