Manufactured in 1895. The rifle is equipped with a dovetail Lyman beaded blade front sight, three leaf rear sight and Lyman receiver sight base (sight absent). The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "30 WCF" at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/patent date marking. The forearm and straight grip stock are nicely figured uncheckered walnut.

Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with thinning and high edge wear on the balance with a couple areas showing signs of being cleaned. 70% original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. 75% original case colors remain on the hammer and lever, and faded patterns of original case colors remain on the buttplate. The wood is very fine showing some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Overall, an attractive antique special order Winchester Model 1894 takedown rifle.
