Manufactured in 1892 as a third model with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrated rear edge. The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with an octagon barrel in .44 caliber, plain trigger, and "Daisy" engraving when received in the warehouse on August 15, 1892, and shipped on September 13, 1892, with 29 other Model 1873. "Daisy" refers to the inscription "THE DAISY RIFLE" on the upper left barrel flat, and this inscription was especially done for the Sydney, Australia, dealer F. Lassetter & Co. Ltd. The Australian dealer special ordered .44 caliber Model 1873s, and each of these rifles featured the "Daisy" marking. The barrel has the two-line address/patent dates marking, dovetail blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight. A Marble folding peep sight is mounted to the upper tang."44 CAL" is marked on the cartridge elevator. The buttstock has a trapdoor buttplate (cleaning rod not included).

Rating Definition:

Very good, retaining some areas of original blue finish strongest on the frame with the balance a smooth dark brown patina. Slight traces of original nitre blue remain on the loading gate. The wood is also very good with a couple hairline stress cracks in the wrist and minor to moderate dings and scratches throughout. Mechanically excellent.
