Description:

Measuring 38 inches overall, with a 31 3/4 inch double fuller blade, decorated on each side with etched patriotic motifs, with the Clauberg trademark on the left ricasso. The hilt is of cast, sculpted and gilt brass construction, with fine floral vines and "US" between the branches, a "screaming eagle" rear quillion, oak leaf accented pommel, and a silver finished brass grip with alternating smooth and leafy bands. The scabbard is blued iron construction, with floral engraved and gilt finished brass hardware.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall. The very fine blade shows some mild spotting, with a bright appearance overall and exceptional detail in the etching. The brass components retain about half their finish, with a well aged patina on both the visible brass and the silver. The scabbard retains most of the original brown, shows some dings and spotting, with a few spots of oxidization.
