Manufactured in the 1880s with total production estimated at a few thousand. Adding to the rarity of this revolver is the factory engraving which consists of scrollwork and floral patterns with a nautical themed panel scene on the left side plate. Matching serial numbers are found on the grip frame, cylinder, and barrel. It has the two-line address/patent dates marking on the rib, "38 CAL" on the left side of the frame and loading gate.

Very fine, retaining 75% original nickel finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The engraving is crisp. Traces of original case colors remain.
