Manufactured c. 1880s. Both of these revolvers have round blade and top strap groove sights, the standard two-line address/patent marking on the barrel rib, "32 CAL." on the left side of the frame, and matching serial numbers. The "B" gun differs by having a pinned front sight and no screw on the right side of the barrel lug as well as having the serial number on the frame under the grip rather than on the butt. Each comes with a factory box with "FOLDING HAMMER" and "MERWIN, HULBERT & CO'S/AUTOMATIC 32 CAL. REVOLVER/DOUBLE ACTION. 3 inch." labels and directions inside. The box for "B" also includes a bore brush and has the serial number for another gun handwritten on the bottom.

Very fine with 95% plus original nickel plating, some slight flaking and frosting, subtle original case colors on the hammer and trigger, and a few mild scratches and marks. The grips are very good with aged tones, crisp checkering, and minor handling and storage wear. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with wear concentrated on the edges and corners.
