This pistol is in the basic form of the classic flintlock holster pistols from Bohemia as well as other areas of the Austrian Empire. It may be a conversion and uses the early style Germanic percussion system which uses a nipple cover in place of the frizzen. The lock also has a sculpted sea beast on the top of the hammer, chiseled scroll and hare designs on the lower section with golden backgrounds, and a dog pursuing a deer in a detailed scene with scroll accents and golden backgrounds on the convex plate itself. The smoothbore barrel has a fixed blade front sight on a long sighting rib accented by Rococo style scrollwork with gilded backgrounds along with a pair of deer and hare on the breech section and a sculpted bolster. The other furniture is silver with gilded backgrounds in the patterns which include scrollwork, animals, a female hunter with her gun and dog on the trigger guard, a bust on the thumb plate, a pair of hunters and dogs on the cap, and Artemis/Diana with a pair of dogs in a scene on the side plate. The stock has a horn forend cap, raised relief scrollwork and shaped flats, and attractive figure.

Exceptionally fine with 75% plus of the bright niter blue finish on the barrel, gray patina on the lock, strong gilded backgrounds on the lock and barrel, aged patina and some oil staining on the furniture, crisp designs and patterns throughout, and mild overall wear. The stock is fine with mild scratches and pressure marks throughout, repaired break in the wrist, additional minor repairs, and glossy finish. Mechanically fine.
