This is a beautiful example of a Colt Series 80 MK IV, Colt Officers model compact 45 ACP pistol that has been beautifully engraved by John Adams Jr. This pistol exhibits "A" coverage (25%) of an American Scroll and punch dot pattern that is accompanied by documentation from the Adams and Adams Custom Firearms Engraving Company verifying this engraving as original. It has the standard Colt factory markings with the left side of the frame nicely engraved (under the grip) in a script pattern with "JAII" for Master Engraver John Adams Jr., son of Former Colt Master Engraver John Adams. It is fitted with beautiful set of double diamond checkered rosewood grips. Includes original cardboard storage box.

Very fine overall as master embellished by John Adams Jr. with sharp engraving, light handling marks, and sharp checkering on the grips. Mechanically excellent.
