Manufactured in 1923. Fixed sights, the two-line Colt address and patent dates on the left side of the matching numbered slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, the caliber markings on the right, and the trigger guard marked "W/VP" on the left and "48" on the right. Finish is full blue, with a polished chamber and muzzle, royal blue safety and trigger, two-tone "CAL.380/COLT" magazine and checkered hardwood grips with scalloped borders and front-facing Colt medallions. An unnumbered but properly labeled Colt "black box" is included, containing an instruction sheet/parts list.

Very fine, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, mild handling marks and spotting, and a few areas of brown patina. Some dents are present on the right side of the frame near the magazine well and on the rear of the slide. The grips are fine, with some light dings. The box is fair, with wear and tearing on the edges, one side of the lid detached and partially absent, and mild scuffs and stains. Mechanically excellent.
