Manufactured in 1917 on order for the British Government, this is a Colt Government Model semi-automatic pistol originally outfitted with a 455 Eley barrel and magazine, with a set of crossed pennant and broad arrow military stamps, "crown/G2/A" and "R.A.F." markings on the left side of the slide, along with the standard commercial markings. Fixed sights, with a long smooth trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered grips, a two-tone magazine with "CAL 455/ELEY" marked lanyard base, and a 45 ACP barrel marked with a conjoined "HP" on the chamber. An extra 455 Eley marked magazine is included, as well as a sealed 7-round package of Mark I .455 ammunition.

Very good as rebarreled, with 70% of the British arsenal refurbished blue finish, showing bright edge wear, scattered mild dings and light handling marks overall. The modern replacement grips are good, with some dents visible on the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
