According to information from Charles Pate's "U.S. Handguns of World War II", this pistol was shipped to the Government in 1945, likely May (see page 241). Serrated Patridge front and square notch rear sights, the standard commercial markings on the left side of the frame and slide, "PROPERTY OF U.S.A." on top of the barrel and "PROPERTY OF/U.S." on the right side of the frame next to a crossed cannon Ordnance cartouche. Fitted with a serrated trigger, checkered spur hammer and checkered grips.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original parkerized finish, showing bright edge wear, a few small areas of brown patina, and a small amount of spotting and handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with some scratches and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
