Description:

This is a fine example of a rare pre-WWII, fully automatic German machine pistol as manufactured by the Mauser factory circa 1932-1935. This model was listed in the Mauser factory sales catalogs as the Model 1932. These were standard pre-War Model 1930 Mauser pistols that were manufactured as a fully automatic weapon, with approximately 95,000 manufactured in total for both commercial and military sales. This one has the later "Westinger" designed, two position "locking" selector switch. The right side has the standard three-line Mauser factory address/markings on the rear flat of the frame with the small milled center panel on each side. The chamber area is stamped with the three-line Mauser markings of "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N" and a single "Crown/U" commercial proof. The left side of the frame has the Westinger designed selector switch marked "N" and "R" and a small Mauser Banner logo behind the switch. Only the top of the bolt is numbered "90850" indicating it was an early commercial production model. It is fitted with a set of original, unnumbered, 12 groove, walnut grips. It is complete with one 10-shot magazine that is stamped with a "MAUSER" banner on the base plate. The left side of the frame (under the grip panel) is marked "INTERAMERICAN SACTO, CA./7.63 MM GERMANY". This is an extremely rare pistol as very few were actually legally registered in the U.S.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blued finish showing edge and high spot wear overall with minor light spotting on the outside of the barrel with blue loss on the front frame rails, and lower front edge of the magazine well. The grips are both in fine condition with a nice matching dark brown color overall showing numerous light handling marks on both sides. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being "LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
