Description:

Originally field made from a tan herringbone twill cloth, this cap shows evidence of heavy sun bleaching, with an off-white appearance overall. A set of Luftwaffe patches (a white on black embroidered eagle and a machine-woven cockade) are present on the front, with a set of cosmetic ear flaps and a brown cloth inner lining. Attributed to the George Petersen collection, who in turn reportedly acquired it in Germany in the early 1990s. Petersoen though this was used by H.G. troops in Africa.

Rating Definition:

Good as heavily sun bleached, with some areas of stronger tan color, mainly on the visor, and some mild staining.
