Description:

Measuring 36 inches overall, with a 31 inch straight single fuller blade, decorated on the lower half with gold accented wire etching and niter blue fields, with an unclear stamp (possibly a Solingen makers mark) on the right ricasso. The hilt is of gilt brass construction, with an eagle head pommel, wire wrapped mother of pearl grip panels, two-piece guard with a raised scroll and bust motifs on the knuckleguard, and a prominent American eagle on the languet. Includes a brass scabbard, decorated with engraved leaf patterns.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade shows a cleaned gray patina with areas of pitting and traces of the original colors. The hilt is fine with some minor dents, about 40% of the original gilt finish, and an antique patina on the visible brass. The scabbard shows some dents and stains.
