Description:

Stillman Jackson (1806-1869) worked in Palmyra, New York, from 1829 until 1855. The barrel has traditional blade and notch sights and "S. JACKSON/PALMYRA" marked on top. Additional features include a pewter forend cap, double set triggers, iron patch box and furniture, spurred trigger guard, nice cheekpiece, and some attractive figure on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus with a mix of original blue and deep brown patina along the barrel, gray patina on the balance, some light spotting, and minor overall wear. The stock is fine and has attractive flame figure on the butt, smooth oiled finish, and minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
