Manufactured in 1871, this Third Model is marked with the two line Winchester Repeating Arms address and King's Improvement patent information on the top of the barrel and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame just behind the trigger followed by a small "JA". Full length tube magazine, integral barrel band front blade sight and folding two leaf rear sight. Saddle ring and staple mounted on the left side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm secured with a single barrel band and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate and sling swivel. A sling swivel has been mounted on the bottom of the forearm barrel band.

Good. The metal surfaces have a crisp smooth gray mottled patina. The brass has a natural even aged mustard patina. The wood has been varnished some time ago and remains fine overall with exception a shallow gouge on the left upper side of the stock and overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
