Manufactured in 1888 as a third model. Dovetail blade and elevation adjustable sights on a barrel marked with the two-line address/patent dates information and "22 SHORT." The cartridge elevator is marked "22 CAL/SHORT," and the upper tang has the model marking. The smooth straight grip stock is fitted with a solid crescent buttplate.

Very good plus, retaining 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth dark brown patina. There are some vise markings visible on the sides of the barrel around the rear sight dovetail towards the breech. A tang tapped hole filler screw is absent. 20% original case colors remain on the hammer. The wood is very good with a number of minor-moderate dings and scratches and a blemish partially filled with epoxy. Mechanically fine.
