Description:

Manufactured in 1862 with brass post and hammer notch sights, the "-ADDRESS SAML COLT/HARTFORD CT.-" barrel address, standard cylinder scene and patent markings, and all matching serial numbers. The "one-piece" style grips have "04" hand marked on the spacer. "HM" is stamped in small letters inside the back strap. The case contains a Eley Bros. cap tin, lead bullets, a Colt patent bullet mold, and a one side eagle powder flask.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 90% plus original silver plating remaining and showing dark aged patina, 60% of the vibrant original case colors remaining mostly on the right side frame, lighter original case colors on the hammer and loading lever, 80% original blue finish on the cylinder, 40% original blue finish remains on the barrel which has flaking on the right side, and minor overall wear suggesting little use. The cylinder safety pins remain mostly intact with one exception. The grip is excellent. The relined case and accessories are fair.
