Description:

Only around 350-400 of these rifles were manufactured in 1850s. This one falls into the correct 300-679 serial number range and has a dovetailed blade front sight offset to the left, replacement sporting rear sight, serpentine loading lever, "433" on many of the various components, 9-shot turret, grip safety like those found on later lever action rifles, and smooth buttstock with steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus with gray and brown patina throughout, mild wear, some light pitting, and general small marks and scratches. The stock is also very good and has some minor scrapes and dings. The hammer mechanism needs work, but the lever advances the cylinder properly.
