Less than 3,000 of these desirable pistols are estimated to have been manufactured in two variations in the late 1860s to 1880. This is the second type and has small cone front sights, "FRANK WESSON WORCESTER. MASS. PT. DEC. 15/68" on the side of the barrels, the serial number on the left side of the frame, a ring hammer, and smooth grips.

Very fine with 98% plus original nickel plating, 75% original blue, gray and brown patina on the faded areas, and light scratches and marks. The grips are also very fine with glossy varnish, light handling and storage marks, and minor edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
