The pistols have matching numbers on several of the components ("17" on A and "16" on B) and also have what appear to be St. Etienne proofmarks on the bottom of the barrels and "3" (A) and "2" (B) on the bottom of the barrel ribs. The barrels of A are smoothbore, and the barrels of B have four groove rifling with a slow twist. Both have bead front sights. The locks and other components have some scroll/floral engraving. The stocks have fluted wrists, and lanyards are fitted to the butts.

Fine overall with 60% original brown finish and mostly visible Damascus patterns along the barrels, gray and brown patina on the balance, minor oxidation and pitting, and mostly age related wear. Mechanically fine.
