One of only 3,000 manufactured c. 1875-77. It features Rococo "C" style deluxe factory scrollwork, a gold finish, pearl grips marked "VII" on the inside, rounded blade and notch sights, and "E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y. PAT. W.S. SMOOT OCT. 21. 1873E" on the top of the barrel rib.

Fine with 20% original gold finish remaining in the protected areas and side of the hammer, gray and brown patina on the balance, some mild oxidation/pitting, generally crisp engraving, and mild overall wear. The grips are very good and have attractive natural tones, mild handling wear, and a small repaired flake on the upper right. Mechanically fine.
