The barrel has "LONDON" and a small flourish of engraving on top a the breech, Tower private proofs flanking a "DB" maker's mark on the upper left, and a roughly 12 gauge bore flaring out to 1 1/8 inches at the muzzle. The lock is marked "BLAIR" at center and has border engraving and a flourish of simple scrollwork at the tail. The brass furniture also has some simple border and floral engraving.

Rating Definition:

Fine with aged patinas on the brass, gray and silver-gray patina on the lock along with some oxidation, distinct engraving and markings, and minor marks. The stock is very good and has scattered minor pressure marks and scratches, some old wood filler repair visible on the left at the toe, and minor insect damage on the butt. Mechanically excellent.
