Description:

Manufactured from 1860-1868. The engraving consists of floral scrollwork on a punch dot background along with entwining lines and scallop/dot border on the back strap and butt. Matching assembly marks are on the frame, cylinder and barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The cylinder and barrel have a gun metal patina with some pitting (mostly on the cylinder). The gold over silver plating on the frame shows a mix of gold and aged silver. The grips are very good with a chip missing from around the screw (right panel). Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Manufactured from 1860-1868. Right grip panel numbered to gun, and matching assembly marks on the frame, cylinder and barrel.

Very fine. The cylinder and barrel retain 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina and limited spotting/pitting. 97% aged original silver plating remains on the frame. The grips are fine with a repair near the top (right panel), scattered minor handling marks and retaining most of the original finish. Mechanically excellent.
