Manufactured from 1878 to 1892. This highly embellished example features an engraving consisting of floral scrollwork, line borders and entwining line motifs. The sides of the barrel have engraved floral panel motifs terminating with scrollwork at each end. Engraved patterns are consistent with those by renowned Master Engraver L.D. Nimschke and his shop. The frame is plated in gold, and the remaining surfaces are plated in silver. Fitted with smooth pearl grips. The cylinder has the number "7526." The matching serial number "7687" is found on the butt, barrel and barrel latch. The hardwood presentation case a raised German silver shield on the exterior of the lid, red velvet lining and cartridge block holding 12 WRACo .32 S&W rounds.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 85% original silver plating remains on the barrel and 50% on the cylinder with flaking on the balance. The frame retains 20% original gold plating strongest in the protected areas with the balance a smooth dark brown patina with several upset screw slots. The grips are excellent with highly attractive fiery color. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with a couple minor cracks, handling/storage marks and some high spot wear.
