The Sharps & Hankins partnership existed from 1862 to 1866. Approximately 9,000 of these Model 3C pistols were manufactured. It has blade and groove sights, "ADDRESS SHARPS & HANKINS PHILADELPHIA, PENN." on the top of the barrel group, "C. SHARPS PATENT/JAN 25. 1859" on the right side of the frame, and the matching serial number on the butt and grip cross strap.

Rating Definition:

Very good with traces of original blue and casehardened finish, mostly mottled dark gray patina, some minor oxidation/pitting, legible markings, and mild overall wear. The mainspring is broken, but it is otherwise mechanically fine. The attractive grips are very fine with natural aged tones and grain, minor edge wear, and light handling and storage marks.
