The Buermann Company was acquired by North & Judd of Connecticut in 1926, who continued to manufacture and market many of August Buermann's spur designs under the Star Brand well into the 1950s. The star and "FORGED STEEL" marked upturned heel bands have stationary buttons, are double mounted in nickel and engraved in Buermann's No. 1000 "star half moon" pattern with drop shanks featuring chap guards and toothed rowels.
