Moore & Sons, New York City on March 3, 1881. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder, and barrel. The floral tooled Mexican style loop holster has a wide skirt and a belt featuring a cast brass Colorado retailer Carlos Gove & Co. buckle. Note the holster skirt has a C. Gove & Sons marking. According to the consignor notes, C. Gove & Co. was located in Denver at 340 Blake St. from the early 1870s until 1884. Includes a modern description plaque related to the SAA and holster rig.

Rating Definition:

Fair with rewelded, repaired top strap. The balance of revolver has a mixed gunmetal appearance with mild-minor pitting throughout. Traces of the etched barrel panel remain. Mechanically excellent. The holster rig is very good with age cracking and replaced stitching.
