Manufactured by Oskar Merkel & Co. of Suhl between 1908 and 1945. Ramped beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear notch sights, engraved double claw scope bases on the receiver ring and bridge, casehardened bolt with turned down engraved handle, engraved floorplate marked "OSKAR MERKEL & CO/SUHL", double set triggers, and a B. Nickel 2 1/2x22 scope. Checkered pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece and vented Pachmayr recoil pad.

Fine. 60% plus custom blue finish remains with some areas of edge wear, light surface scratches, small dings, and sharp engraving. The case colors on the bolt body are light but still plainly visible with some spotting, and mostly gray patina on the trigger guard and floorplate. The stock is also fine as lightly sanded and revarnished with well defined checkering, small dings, and added recoil pad. Scope is very good with small nicks and scratches and very clear optics.
