Blued rifle barrels signed "JOHN RIGBY & CO." in gold inlay on the lower rib with "PASO ROBLES, CA" engraved next to the inlay and "22 HORNET" inlaid in gold on the raised quarter rib with light scroll engraving present at the breech, ramped beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear notch sights with gold inlaid range increments and sight lines with locking swivel scope bases and Carl Zeiss Diavari C 3-9x36 scope. The rifle barrels are numbered "383144" and are stamped with German nitro proofs dated 2000. The blued shotgun barrels are 28 inches long and signed "JOHN RIGBY & CO." in gold inlay and "PASO ROBLES, CA" on the respective barrels and "410 GA" inlaid in gold on the raised matted rib with light scroll engraving present at the breech, single bead sight, "76" (3 in.) marked chambers with automatic ejectors, "1/2" (Mod) and "1/1" (Full) marked chokes, and numbered "383144" with German nitro proofs dated 2000 on the barrel flats. The case-hardened action with Greener crossbolt and removable firing pin discs is finely engraved with full coverage, sharp, leafy scroll designs with matching engraving on the tangs and trigger guard. The underside of the action features a detailed scene of a prairie dog in the middle of gold inlaid cross hairs giving a single finger salute to the would be shooter. The trigger guard is engraved with the gold inlaid initials "REP" and the serial number "383144" is gold inlaid on the extended lower tang. A manual sliding safety is on the upper tang with a gold inlaid "S." The trigger plate is signed "LJ TOMLIN" to the right of the double triggers for Master Engraver Lisa Tomlin. Tomlin apprenticed under Master Engraver Ken Hurst, and has engraved arms for a number of high profile clients including General Norman Schwarzkopf, Chuck Yeager, and former President of the United States George Herbert Walker Bush. Extra fancy figured walnut pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, checkered beavertail forearm with engraved fittings and engraved "RR" gold inlaid Rigby monogram grip cap and leather wrapped recoil pad. Stock measurements with shotgun barrels: drop at comb 1 3/8 inches, drop at heel 1 7/8 inches, length of pull 14 1/4 inches, weight 6 lbs. 7 oz., weight with rifle barrels 11 lbs. 4 oz.

Excellent. 99% original deep blue finish remains with sharp engraving, complete gold inlays, and some light handling marks. The receiver has very sharp engraving, exceptionally detailed game scene, and attractive subdued case colors. The wood is attractively figured with dark mineral lines, sharp checkering, and a few very small dings. Mechanically excellent. The scope is excellent with clear optics.
