Bogert Co., Sandusky, Ohio, on March 23, 1937. This is one of 839 Registered Magnums manufactured with 6 inch barrels. Included photocopies of the S&W order form and shipping invoice from March 1937 confirm the information listed in the factory letter. Standard S&W markings with "REG. 2106" stamped on the yoke, right grip panel numbered to a different gun, and matching serial numbers on the butt, ejector shroud, and cylinder. Comes with an unnumbered, period correct Registered Magnum box. Handmade to order by Smith & Wesson's in-house craftsmen and individually registered to the owner, the Registered Magnums show a level of fit and finish beyond the already high standard the firm set during that era, making them contenders for the title of finest revolver ever made.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and casehardened finishes showing light handling marks, slight muzzle wear, and a cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good showing moderate edge wear.
