Description:

Manufactured in 1930. This is the VHE model with automatic ejectors. Single bead sight on a solid rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL". Barrels are choked cylinder/improved cylinder, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Double trigger and tang safety. The casehardened action features a zigzag line border engraving with "PARKER BROS" marked on the left and right sides and the 1910 patent date on the water table. The serial number is marked on the receiver, forearm, barrels, and lower tang. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with buttstock initial shield, factory grip cap, and dog logo buttplate. Bore and stock measurements (R/L): chambers measured at 2 3/4 inches; bores 9 inches from the breech measured at .619/.621; chokes measured at .003/.005; minimum wall thickness .026/.019; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches; weight 6 lbs. 2 oz.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrels retain 90% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with some mild spotting. The action retains strong traces of original case colors around the triggers, on the water table, and on the upper tang with the balance a smooth gray patina. The freshened wood has some scattered minor handling marks (mostly on the forearm) with the recut checkering crisp overall.
