Manufactured in 1965. The table on page 253 of "The Browning Superposed: John M. Browning's Last Legacy" lists only 10 Pointer Grade Superposed shotguns manufactured between 1964 and 1969 in this configuration of 26 1/2 inch hunting length barrels chambered for 28 gauge shells. Single bead sight on the matte, vent rib with standard barrel markings and Belgian proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and improved cylinder/modified chokes. The French gray receiver features full coverage game scene and scroll engraving with detailed scenes of dogs retrieving game birds with a pheasant scene on the right and a duck scene on the left. The balance is covered in fine, tight, flowing scroll with smaller bird scenes of quail and pheasant on the underside of the receiver, and trigger guard respectively. Both sides of the receiver are signed "A.MARECHAL" Checkered forearm with matching engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with a plastic Browning buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Good. The barrels have 75% original blue finish with areas of gray discoloration visible at the muzzle and breech, small surface scratches, and handling marks overall. The receiver has 60% of the original French gray finish with some moderate spotting and visible oxidation, with heavy wear on the gold washed trigger. The wood is very good with crisp checkering, and small dings and scratches throughout. Mechanically excellent. A very hard to find Belgium Browning!
