Manufactured in 1936. Elevation adjustable front sight and windage adjustable rear sight, with the two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel, caliber markings on the left side, checkered hammer, trigger, and grip straps. The hammer is especially broad, and the action has been reconfigured for single action operation only, both popular modifications during the period, and typically performed along with a general mechanical upgrade. Fitted with a pair of checkered Colt medallion grips, with stamped matching numbers on the rear. A reproduction matching hand-numbered Colt "black box" is included, with "COLT/SHOOTING MASTER" printed both outside and inside the lid and a set of "Shooting Suggestions" and "Special Instructions" information sheets.

Very fine with noted single action modification, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing a number of light scratches and dings, a thin drag line, and some light edge wear. The grips are fine, with a few small chips and dings. The box is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
